Have a setting for those who want to keep their inbox clean. Force the user to have to do something with an email after it has been read so that it can't be left in their inbox. Either they have to delete it or move it to a folder. Make it a setting since others might not like this feature.3 votes
Your Sweep feature is fantastic and it's odd how other services haven't mimicked it. However, it would be more useful if you could add some features to it, for example, sweep to archive, sweep to a folder, sweep mark read etc.
I find searching for specific emails to archive cumbersome and time consuming.
This would really speed things up.
With both Clutter and Other boxes, e-mail messages are potentially too dispersed across different boxes. How about merging Clutter and Other into just one "Clutter" box? It seems silly to have Focused, Other, and Clutter (three degrees of importance), when in reality two is all we need (Focused, Clutter).1 vote
Give us the ability to turn off "simplified summary cards" in travel confirmation emails. I just want to see the email, not your interpretation of it.1 vote
better filter system for junk mail.929 votes
When I'm deleting Mail from my inbox, I set the filter to 'from' first as its easier to focus on the ones your definitely not interested in at the time and then delete from there. presently I have to delete individually, but it would be great if we could have a box at the top to delete them in a block? This would save time and hopefully make it easier for people to delete Mail and keep things tidy.
Hope you understand what I'm explaining.

I would like to be able to select one message from a specific sender and then have the option to select all the other emails from the same sender so I could delete them all in one click. Facebook for example. No matter how many times you unsubscribe from specific types of Facebook emails they find a way to start sending you all the same junk a day later. There are certain emails I want from Facebook, but most of them are just junk and probably 85% of the 3500 emails I have in my Inbox. I appreciate your consideration of how to fix my problem. WITH THE OLD HOTMAIL I COULD EASILY SELECT ONE EMAIL SENDER AND THEN SELECT ALL THE OTHER EMAILS FROM THE SAME SENDER AND DELETE THEM ALL AT ONCE. PLEASE... PLEASE.... I am disabled and can't sit at my PC or a laptop in bed for more than 20 to 30 minutes.

Can a checkbox be added next to Automatic Reply so that one does not receive the auto-reply? It unnecessarily clutters my inbox.
Can a checkbox be added next to Automatic Reply so that one does not receive the auto-reply? Auto-replies clutter my inbox when I have to send Doug 12 e-mails even though I know he's out of the office until next Tuesday.3 votes
Just want to suggest that add a "move to folder" function or "archive" when the select all option is used. Currently there is only delete.
I'm trying to organise mt inbox (there heaps in there) and I don't want to delete the lot.
Hi. I'd really like to be able to sweep by age regardless of sender to clear out large numbers of old emails from some folders. I can't even select a lot of emails at once at the moment, which makes deleting lots of emails very tedious indeed.5 votes
can we have a tab that we would be able to sort the mails by sender - date-alphabetical ?445 votes
master reset button
since moving to outlook some mails are getting moved to wrong place so if you create a master reset button mails will come in then you can stat a fresh redirecting etc. i have considered singing up for a new e-mail but old colleagues would be lost, not desirable.

Hotmail should categorise mail from social media website in one button so it could be selected all at the same time and deleted by the bin button16 votes
i would like to be able to archive more than 20 emails at once. my inbox is out of control as I havent really looked after it and I dont want to delete everything in case there is something important.11 votes
Besides folder and category view menus on the left i would like to be able to sort e-mail automatically based on domain name.
It would also be great to be able to sort domain by priority.2 votes
Filters that allow you to delete e-mail from specified senders or regarding specified topics after a specified period of time.
Example: Auto-Delete Advertising after 10 days.

When you mouse over an e-mail on top of your list, its marked out area will not align with the Inbox marked out area.
(In other words: It's hurting my OCD)
And is also a designer flaw. If you want to have a grid concept then keep the lines aligned! Please, be consistent!7 votes
An converter from inbox rules to sweep rules. There is also a button missing for adding new sweep rules right within the options dialog.5 votes
Return the ability to select emails from multiple senders and go to 'move all emails from these senders to *** folder and all future messages'. Doing it one by one is tedious!! Why did you remove this feature??2 votes
I do not see any advantage to me of waiting and watching "opening your mailbox" coming up on the screen of my laptop whenever I take a look at my mail. Now it even comes up twice before I am aloud to see my mail. Can you please get rid of this completely unnecessary flag. I know it's opening, I just pushed a button to open it.1 vote
